Poem #7 Thirty Poems in Thirty Days

Where do I stand? What placard do I hold?
The God I speak to is too large
for a pew, or altar, or one hymnal.
The God I pray to created caviar
and crayfish, blue whales and plankton,
seas and space. The God I pray to, desires
the scent of gefilte fish, hot red curry sauce,
barbequed chicken and brewed
Arabian coffee. The God I pray to, sets
a table and blesses us all, bless us all.
