Reclaiming

We
mold
wet sand,
and create
castles and turrets.
Waves beseige, spewing sea lettuce,
brown kelp, shards of shells.
A sand bar
waits for
the
sea.
We
walk
around
a small pond.
Soon water chestnuts
will form a carpet on the pond
choking native plants.
Waterfowl
will seek
clear
paths.

  1. Great visual presentation presenting parallel peak images:

Wave upon wave of overpowering nature, forcing human plans into submission. Nice.

  2. LOL -- thanks for making waves with your poem! That was a delight to see. And, it was perfect, detailing two separate bodies of water.

  3. I like the shape, too

I'm guessing these are not the sort of water chestnuts that make tasty chinese dishes.
