Acadia National Park Maine

Posted for ABC Wednesday

Acadia — a place where "the water meets the mountains."

Acadia National Park

This fog
hangs
out of the sky
Works its way down
Crops mountains
Drops
Then mapless
mingles with grass

The ocean lies still
Surface ripples
flattened
by a heavy mist

In a cove
a wood rowboat
loses
contour lines
Round
cobblestone edges
back into angular rock slabs

With collapsed lines
old definitions fade

  5. Acadia is quite a bit east of Orchard Park ( which is inland) and is located right on the ocean.

  14. Wow, that does look beautiful. Coastline has a beauty all of its own, especially when it's rocky. Such a beautiful blue, that water, too!
