ABC Wednesday : The Letter E

E is for Edge

Edge

Look at lines
Look at edges
Edges that are sharp
Edges that are ragged
Ragged, on edge
Ragged, too tired
Tired of balancing on the margin
Tired of the edge
Edge your way in
Edge beyond the border
Borders need movement
Borders need rough edges

Borders need ambiguity
defining possibilities beyond the edge

“What orbit of the planets has put you and me in this place, at this moment? Where time takes a breath, and we dance on the edge of our dreams?”

“I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.”
Kurt Vonnegut, Jr

“It is at the edge of a petal that love waits.”
— William Carlos Williams

  9. Beautiful poem but I liked that peeling paint. It would make the basis of a nice abstract painting I think.
