ABC Wednesday : The Letter R

R for Rocks

For the moment forget the distinction between rocks and stones.
These are all rocks.

A pile of rocks ceases to be a rock when somebody contemplates it with the idea of a cathedral in mind.
— Antoine de Saint-Exupery

He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out;
they ran in the dry places like a river.
—Ps 105:41

... rocks hold myriad forms of nature...
A fine rock stimulates imagined travel
by suggesting a landscape to enter and explore.
— Liu Dan

She seems to have had the ability to stand firmly on the rock of her past
while living completely and unregretfully in the present.”
—Madeleine L'Engle
