Prayer

Several words
spiral on a polished
wood floor.

A sound of breath
behind me, settles down
in a rocker . I sleep
within the breath.

Outside a light rain
adds itself to a pond.

We enter into a conversation.

  1. This is fantastic in its sparseness. I sleep within the breath closes that stanza beautifully, and the hushed rain on the pond is perfection. Beautiful.

  4. A lovely settling-in for meditative conversations with God. Me, it's often behind the wheel of a car on a long drive. However, wherever the feeling strikes, pray. God knows we need all the help we can get. Thanks, Amy
